Emma Fick je mlada Amerikanka s trenutnom adresom u Beogradu, gdje
boravi u sklopu kulturne razmjene. Zašto nam je Emma zanimljiva? Zato
što nam svoja putovanja i iskustva s Balkana prenosi zanimljivim
ilustracijama, unatoč uvriježenom mišljenju da je to izvedivo samo
riječima ili fotografijama.
Born and raised in Covington, Louisiana. I received my BA in English
Literature and Art History from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
From 2013-14, I taught English in Serbia on a Fulbright scholarship.
From October 2014-February 2015, I"ll be working on "Snippets of
Serbia," a cultural illustration grant from the U.S. Embassy in
Serbia.For four months, I"ll live in Belgrade and travel around the
country leading illustration workshops and compiling a "Snippets of
Serbia" illustrated collection. Always seeking new and exciting
collaborations. Currently working on an illustrated guide to Belgrade, a
graphic narrative of my relative"s experience in Serbia during WWII,
and in the Spring of 2015 I"ll begin on Snippets of New Orleans in my
hometown of Louisiana.
